About Forestine
Forestine has magical trees with curing properties and more.
Forestine is full of pine trees, which bears love as it’s like an outdoor camp retreat for bears. Yet, Forestine isn’t like any other normal forest. The trees there are quite strange. It’s known for its T-trees that make the forest smell nice but also hypnotize them slightly with the T-tree chemical. You may have noticed the ‘t’ missing in Forestine’s image, and this is because occasionally the T-trees become invisible to the eye, but not for too long. Forestine’s trees also have many different colours, as well as a mystical autumn to winter feel to them. Each different coloured leaf holds a different medicinal property making Forestine the place to go for medicinal purposes.
There’s also a part of Forestine’s forest where strange voices can be heard. The voices (which sometimes mix real-world bear sounds with ted bears) come from the trees and are recorded with an echo effect (to sound quite ghostly) as they reverb through the special ‘Echo Bearidge’ (and even to the ‘Bearington Bearidge’ in Bearington Town). If bears can find the right tree that sent the message in Forestine then they can also message back, and voices are then heard back on the bridge. The Echo Bearidge also captures sounds when you speak into one of the speakers dotted along the bridge, with the sounds then sent through a feed around the forest of Forestine. It’s meant to be a fun interactive idea for the bears who visit Forestine, especially with the night walk tours, run by Lacy. Did the bears hear Meeso here?
You don’t want to spend too long in Forestine though as bears have reportedly heard unfamiliar voices and don’t know whether they are real or just their imagination. That’s likely because of the T-tree chemical affecting their judgment, as well as natural ‘fart gas’ trees that occasionally let off steam (that also temporarily rid a bear’s immediate memories, until they use the antidote ‘memory boosters’ to recall their memory again – which luckily Forestine has many of standing by).
Forestine is also known as ‘The Land Of The Senses’ as you can sense many smells (T-tree and medicine), sounds (it’s native tweeting birds and echo trees), as well as taste delicious BBQ salmon here too (from Forestine’s salmon-jumping river called Riverington). The bears who live on Forestine are particularly good at sensing bear scents, and the Bearventurers wonder whether they can sense Meeso’s scent here.
Forestine Backstory:
Forestine was relatively unscathed from ‘The Event’. As a fairly new island in comparison the trees were still growing and not much life appeared to be there so it wasn’t really targeted, but it was actually blossoming into a wonderful spiritual haven that would then house some of the residents of Old Bair and Bubbalo who would lose their home.
It tried to grow in times since ‘The Event’ but very little has really happened on the island since, other than it being seen as a good place for bears to go when they need medicinal assistance for illnesses. Forestine did have something unique about it though with its very sensory and interactive vibe. At one point, there were some interactive elements to Forestine in the past. It had a Qurious center just like Bearington, and is where the Bearmusement Park was found (much smaller than Bearillo). Forestine wanted to rival Bearillo as the main holiday area but because part of Forestine is inhabited by Old Bair & Bubbalo residents (around the Forestine Cave), they complained about the noise, and the park was shut down. Only the night walk tours remain, which are still very popular.
Some of the old tribal bears still have tribal songs around the cave at night, but Forestine has become more known as a peaceful walk of nature for bears to relax and recover. Saying that, more recently there was suggestions that the tweeting birds are actually sending out codes, but the inhabitants haven’t figured out how to decipher them yet.
Bassventures – A Walk Through Forestine:
Forestine is unique to its tweeting birds, and it's a mystical place with echo trees.
Bassventures – Habee Sabee:
A sliding bass song that plays in the trees of Forestine to show the trippy, serene nature of that place.
