About Freezso

The largest island. Meeso, Quteso & Dusty are from here, other bears find it too cold.

Freezso is the largest land by far. It’s covered in ice and most of it is inhabitable, apart from a few areas closer to the mainlands where domesticated polar bears like Meeso, Quteso and Dusty are from, although there’s a rumour Pensa now lives on Freezso somewhere hard for other bears to reach. Other bear types find Freezso far too cold to live, or even to travel to for long. If other bears do come here they have to keep moving fast to keep warm. There’s ‘dizzysnow’ that bears must be careful of too. It’s a bit like quicksand, in that if you fall into some it will slow you down for a bit.

Despite Freezso being so cold, there are a few hidden gems here. When Bubbalo was vanquished by Dr. Grizz it left behind many ‘Bubblepops’ drifted off in many directions and some went up towards the barren side of Freezso and became frozen. There might be useful clues in some of these Bubblepops so the Bearventurers may need to locate them and find a way to thaw them to open them.

Freezso is also known for its special milk ice lollies (which Quteso loves), fresh salmon around the sea edges, and many other cool things. The food here makes its inhabitants smart, and when you couple that with its isolation it makes a perfect home for inventors, like Pensa.

In the past, Pensa would come here and work on his inventions in peace (the isolation making it an inventor’s haven where he can focus and experiment without distraction or too many modern-day comfort-trappings). Two particular inventions came from Pensa’s isolated Freezso/Iceso brainstorm sessions, the Freezeporter and Emochine. Today, the polar bears of Freezso and Iceso use Freezeporters to get around the islands, and all bears have found the Emochine (which can now be found in different locations around the Bearlagos) a welcome relaxation activity.

Freezso has a good relationship with Bearington as they exchange Salmon and frozen food for hunney and bear berries, and they do this via freezeporting now. Together they make some special combined frozen ice lolly foods too, which Frezso is famous for.

There’s also huge frozen milk cap mountains and quarries here which Dr. Grizz really wants to get his hands in, as there’s something really special lurking beneath the surface! Did Meeso come back here?

Freezso Backstory:

The history of Freezso is a lot to do with Pensa and his inventions. One such invention was the ‘Freezeporter’ which allowed (polar) bears to transport from one freezer to another. It was originally meant to help them get around the vast Freezso easier, but as bears around The Bearlagos became more domesticated more got freezers in their homes and workplaces, but that would be dangerous and unethical for bears to turn up in each other’s homes, so regulations by the Visarium were put in place to ensure freezeporting was only allowed at dedicated spots and ‘Bearmits’ (permits) were issued to use them.

This allowed polar bears to freezeport across many different places in the Bearlagos, but mainly to and from Bearington Island, Freezso, and the Iceso’s. It allowed normal bears to also holiday and travel to colder places, that were previously too hard to get to. The Freezeporter was secretly improved further by Pensa who used the ingredients to make it work and fit them into a special scooter looking device, allowing only a few selected polar bears (who had the right conditions to use it) to hop around the islands at ease. Meeso was one of those bears, which is why it is very difficult to find her as she could’ve gone almost anywhere.

In the times of ‘The Event’ Freezso was pretty quiet, much like it is now. It wasn’t until more recently that Dr. Grizz realised that his search for resources many years ago in Bubbalo was a bit of a lost cause, as he should have actually looked around Freezso’s milk mountains for some interesting natural phenomenons. However, they are particularly hard to find and utilise. Not-to-mention the place is far too cold for most bears to stay for long, so with Meeso being from here, it is thought that maybe Dr. Grizz took and used Meeso to get to the milk mountains?!

Freezso is a cold place where bears have to move faster to keep warm, but it's also easy to fall in the 'dizzysnow' or get frostbite.

Bassventures – Inventsa:

Pensa is a very clever penguin-disguised bear and this song helps him think of new inventions. Pensa happens to love funky bass music and has a special waddle dance to go with it. Rumour has it that bass music became popular on The Bearlagos due to a Pensa invention, The Bassverbarator, which reverberates and echoes bass through the surroundings to shake off the snow from Freezso trees. It also sends signals through the echoes, which is a bit like morse code.
